Candy Shorts runs on tokens, not per-title purchases. Once you understand two numbers — how many episodes are free and how many tokens each paid episode costs — the whole catalogue becomes easy to budget.

The two price points
There are only two, and they don’t change from series to series:

What a full series really costs
Most series are five episodes. Two are free, so you pay for three:
- Standard five-episode series: 3 × 12 = 36 tokens to finish.
- Official creator five-episode series: 3 × 30 = 90 tokens to finish.
Longer series scale from there. A few run well past five episodes, so check the episode count on the card before you start — that’s where token spend adds up quietly. Our numbers page breaks down exactly how many long series exist.
Buy tokens for the series you’ll actually finish. Because the two free episodes tell you most of what you need to know about a series, the cheapest strategy is to preview widely and only spend on the ones that genuinely land.

Is there a way to watch for free?
Yes — legitimately. Every series gives you two free episodes. There’s no honest way to unlock the premium episodes without tokens, and we don’t link to sites that claim otherwise.
Do tokens expire?
Token and subscription terms are set by Candy AI and can change. Check the current terms on their pricing page before buying a large pack.
Why do creator series cost more?
The 30-token series are official collaborations with named creators. The higher price reflects the licensed nature of those series.
Can I subscribe instead of buying tokens?
Candy AI’s subscription includes a monthly token allowance. Whether that’s cheaper depends on how much you watch — heavy viewers tend to prefer the subscription, occasional viewers a small pack.
